This directory includes information on where to find instruction in the gem, jewelry, and bead arts and includes programs that range from informal workshops to courses offered by specialized schools and universities. Organizations in the United States appear first under state and then city; those abroad appear under country, province or state, and city as applicable. Available addresses (zip codes appear in parentheses), phone and fax numbers, and e-mail and Web site addresses are given for all organizations. All offerings are subject to change. Many parks and recreation departments sponsor programs sporadically; for more information on possible offerings, contact local city or county agencies.
Many amateur groups also offer instruction; please consult the directory of Gem and Mineral Clubs, and of Bead Societies, to find groups in local areas.
